     Where to start!  Perhaps with our bus driver Duane, GREAT driver, lots of fun and plenty of good advice. He even predicted which would be our favorite place to shop and he was right – The Black Hills Gold Factory!

     Anyway, the trip west started on Route #90 and we crossed the Mississippi River (did you know that the Mississippi River is the border between Missouri and Wisconsin and that the wide Missouri flows thru South Dakota?).

     With someone else to do the driving, you could sit back, relax and admire all of the glorious scenery. Mt. Rushmore and the Crazy Horse Monument were beautiful and breathtaking.

     The trip to the Journey Museum at the beginning of our stay in Rapid City, gave us perhaps the best background and history of the area. I had a wonderful week making new friends and seeing some great country. What more could I have asked for?     Lucille Dalecki
